Hope
The Spirit of God provides hope to a heart that is in relationship with Him. The events that happened in Joseph’s life prior to him coming face to face with his brothers prepared his heart to follow God’s Will. This development process was necessary in order for Joseph to respond according to the Spirit of God. He had confidence in the promise that God provided him through his dream,

even when his circumstances did not seem to line up with the promise. This is seen in the favor and presence of the Lord in Joseph’s life. Hope hold on the the end from the beginning. Joseph’s hope was in God not in his circumstances.
As you give your heart to God, He will fill it with His Love. This Love provides a deep abiding in Christ, which in turn produces faith and hope (see 1 Corinthians 13:13). Without love you would not have faith or hope in the One True God. When you receive God’s Love, it produces faith and hope that will carry you through the troubles and difficulties of life. The only response that reveals the love that you have for God is faith and hope in Him. Faith is what pleases the Lord and shows your desire to obey Him.
Without love for God, you will not have faith in Him or His Word. This process begins with God revealing Himself to you. As the relationship develops, your love for God will grow. Then, your faith and hope in Him will grow. Many desire a hope in God but are not willing to develop a relationship with God. Trust does not happen overnight but develops over many years as God reveals more of Himself to you.
Hope and faith are founded on the promises of God. The moment you take your mind off of the promises of God is the moment you will begin to live by your best thinking. This can cause you to lose hope because it is only a matter of time before your thinking fails you. God is the only One Who never fails.
When you walk in His Love, you believe what He says in His Word and trust that what He says will come to pass. His Love for you is what makes this hope complete. Love is the greatest among faith and hope because it is what keeps the relationship between God and believers intimate and real. Faith and hope are an outcome of a love relationship with God. There could be no faith or hope without love. Love is what provided the plan and purpose of salvation. Faith and hope come only because of what Love planned and provided. Hope is a fruit of love, and without love there is no hope.
The truth is that every believer who desires to grow in Christ will need continual spiritual development.
